Hey everyone, I know it’s been a minute since you’ve heard from me, but there has been a lot going on! So here is a quick little update.
Last month I graduated from the illustrious North Carolina A&T State University. I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising & Design and received a certificate in Entrepreneurship. These past 4 years have been crazy, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I gained so many countless memories, knowledge, and personal growth. Despite the ups and downs, my time at this institution has been a wonderful, life-changing journey. I am truly proud to be a North Carolina A&T Graduate. I really look forward to seeing where I am in the next 10 years.
Life After College So Far
Over the last few weeks, I have taken more time to relax, spend time with friends and family, work on my professional brand, and catch up on needed appointments. I also took the time to create and write down my short term and long term career goals. Since I plan on working this upcoming semester, I am utilizing this free time to learn more about myself and steps to take to further my career. There were moments where I felt like my life was at a standstill or I overthink about where I am in life, but I try to remain positive and work on things I can control. A way I am doing that is by staying productive, keeping myself busy, and refrain from comparing my life to others. I also have been mindful of how much I spend on social media when needed.
Future Plans
I plan on furthering my education by going to graduate school. This fall I will be attending the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) to obtain a Master's degree in Consumer Apparel and Retail Studies. While I prepare for graduate school, I will continue to search for potential jobs and further my apartment hunting. One of my short term goals is to give more attention to my blog and time management. I will try my best to produce more content and share my experiences along the way.
